Village Yoga Sport Yoga for Tweens and Teens page

Yoga helps children develop techniques to calm themselves mentally and physically. We have worked with children with ADD/ADHD, cerebral palsy, diabetes, motor delays, as well as a variety of learning styles. The practice of yoga has been beneficial for all of them. Most of all, kids yoga is fun!

Sport Yoga for Tweens and Teens

This class is designed to help children who play a lot of sports. We will begin by finding out what sports the children are playing and then design a list of strengthening and stretching poses for each child. We will use these poses in class as well as poses that will help them balance their bodies. Learning how to prevent injuries through body awareness will be a very important component of each class.

We will also address the anxiety that may come with competitive sports. We will help them learn breathing and meditation skills to reduce stress.

Thursdays 5:00 – 6:00
6-week series fee: $72, Judy
